WMA’s Miss G headed up with her father Alex, and Mr Whitlock to London for the first ever Warrior Open competition.
the competition is ran By Master De Silva and Mr Kool. It was well run, friendly and competitive- just what we’re looking for!
Miss Graham warmed up doing some patterns in a large group and alas didn’t medal. After a short wait, she was up for sparring. The competition was fierce and unfortunately in the semi finals she got kicked in the knee that greatly reduced her mobility and kicking abilities. but she showed true indomitable spirit, finished the round hard, and narrowly lost a split decision. But there was one medal for bronze, so although injured and hurting. Ma’am donned her equipment once more to step out and fight for bronze- and she certainly did that, redeemed herself and came away with the medal.
some lessons learnt as always. A huge well done the rest of the PUMA members that attended and competed. There were some fantastic performances and results. Another big well done to Miss G, she had a a cold, an injury, and still performed like a lion! Mr W couldn’t have asked for anymore from you.
A massive thanks to Mr Kool and Master De Silva for their hospitality. we look forward to next years, hopefully with a bigger team!
