Mr Philip Whitlock IV
I have been training in martial arts for over 25 years, since I was 7 years old. It is my life's passion. I have represented England for 16 years becoming a World Open Champion, Intercontinental champion, 20x British champion, and 2x full contact English kickboxing champion. I love teaching and watching students, both kids and adults, grow. I am very proud that we have brought people from 4 year old white belts all the way through to black belts representing their country. Which culimanted in me winning a sports coach of the year award in 2018.
Mr Jack Gould II
I have been at WMA since I was 4 years and old and since then have gone on to achieve my second degree black belt and represent England. I started teaching when I was 13 years old and have continued since. My favourite part of teaching is watching someone who has never done martial arts before develop and progress through the years to become proficient martial artists.
Mr James Wild I
I joined WMA in January 2011. I initially joined because I wanted to work on my health and fitness, however I have gained so much more. Taekwon Do has given me discipline, etiquette, pride in myself, confidence and a family of amazing friends as well as making me stronger and fitter. I achieved a 1st Degree Black Belt in 2018 and now I enjoy assisting Mr Whitlock with classes when needed.
Mr and Mrs Carter
Mr C- After watching my daughters train at WMA for a year I did not take much persuading to give it a try. 5 years on and my daughters are both black belts, my wife and myself are red belts. I enjoy passing on the skills I have learnt to other students and watching them progress. WMA is a very friendly club and we all help each other, so I was more than happy to help out in classes when I got to a high enough belt and I look forward to continuing to help fellow students progress.
Mrs C- WMA really does have a family feel to me, especially as my husband & children also train. With my children now being black belts and us all assisting in teaching classes. I enjoy helping students learn their patterns and watching the LP's as they grow in confidence.
junior assistant instructors
Our amazing team of junior assistants have all been training in Taekwon-do for at least 5 years. Most of them starting in the Little PUMA's programmes themselves, they have developed in to leaders, and inspire our next generation of WMA students.
